There are several "scanner" apps for smartphones that will use your phone camera

A revised Developments Guidelines and HRB Forms that combine guidelines and forms for 1780 and OWC into one documentwill become effective for ALL reviews after January 1, 2016.  The current Guidelines is v7.2 3/30/2017
An element of architecture is often defined by the material, and always described by the textures and colors. Materials and components that are complementary to the surroundings and indigenous to the Appalachian Regionís camps, cabins, and lodges are to be employed in the architectural design of the Rural Retreat.  Natural materials that early craftsman would obtain locally or those that effectively emulate and mimic their natural counterpart, and the architectural shapes and details of the mountain environment create an unmistakable aesthetic and atmosphere.  Using these elements as inspiration in your designs will set the rustic and quality tone of your buildings.

B For esthetic uniformity of the street perspective within 1780 and Old Wildlife Club a specific mailbox and post has been approved by Crescent Communities for use at 1780 and OWC properties.  It is available as a post and mailbox combination or as apost only for 911 address identification.

B For esthetic uniformity of the street perspective within 1780 and Old Wildlife Club a numeric style from Taymor has been solely selected for use on the mailbox posts / 911 posts.  The individual numbers needed for your mailbox post or 911 post are available from The Hardware Hut(.com) is division of Spokane Hardware.  Order the 4" brass numbers by Taymor.  The model number is TAY-25-BN4-#, where # is the number that you are ordering.  As of writing this, they are $4.50 each and 4 numbers had a shipping charge of $8 +/-.

Alternate numeric styles will not be accepted, but these Taymor numbers may be available from other sources.

Candidate List
B A list of service providers for the Lot Owner's reference.  These companies and individuals have expressed a desire to be a part Crescent Communities on Lake James and to perform quality work for the Lot Owners in conformance with the Development Guidelines.  Poor performance will remove a company from the list.

Septic Installation Guidelines B New guidelines for septic installation in effect January 1, 2016.  These guidelines are also in the Development Guidelines (chapter 8).  The septic forms are in the HRB forms (above).
Approved Septic Systems Installers B Crescent Communities maintains a standard for septic systems that is higher than state or county standards in method and equipment.  Only approved installers are permitted to install septic systems in Crescent Communities on Lake James.  Approved installers are listed in the Development Team Candidate List

B This addendum for exterior stairs and steps is effective Aug 21, 2007.  These steps will make exterior steps more aesthetic, safer, and easier to walk on.

Burke County Erosion Control and Runoff Design Requirements B This letter was received by the HRB from the Burke County zoning office.  It affects everyone that will be applying for a Burke County Zoning Shoreline Protection Permit for construction.  The design requirements are from Burke and will be enforced by Burke County.  The HRB is passing these on to you so that you will be better informed of the requirements at the county level.
